Sophia Chamber Choir Kyiv shines with works of Poulec, Momotenko and Van der Laag in the new album Videntas Stellas.
This album is created thanks to the international collaboration of the Sophia Chamber Choir Kyiv with Dutch composers Alfred Momotenko and Diederik van der Laag. In times of turbulence and changes in society, the authors paid attention to beauty in its historical and mental aspect, recording the fragile music of Poulenc, the melancholic music of Momotenko and the clear music of Van der Laag. The artists of the ensemble noted the wide diversity of the repertoire but at the same time the bright individuality of the composers' creative styles.
The album contains:
1. Vesna - Momotenko
2. Miro Celia - Van der Laag
3. Snig - Momotenko
4. Daughter of the Vine - Van der Laag
5. Magnum Mysterium - Poulenc
6. Quem Vidistis Pastores Dicite - Poulenc
7. Videntes Stellam - Poulenc
8. Hodie Christus Natus Est - Poulenc
9. Ave Maria - Van der Laag
10. Nunc Dimittis - Momotenko
11. Der Schwan - Van der Laag
12. Away - Van der Laag
13. When you ask me - Momotenko,
featuring Dutch master-blockflutist Erik Bosgraaf
